3M Adhesion Promoter 4298 10 pieces

Especially in connection with 3M Acrylic Foam double-sided adhesive tapes, the Scotchmount 4298 adhesion promoter is suitable for many types of plastic that are used in automotive engineering. The best results can be achieved especially on low-energy surfaces.

Characteristics:

The Scotchmount Primer 4298 cloth is suitable for priming the following substrates PP / EPDM, EPDM, TPE, PE, PP, PET, ABS, TPO, PC, GFK, CFK, EVA or car paints. This primer is unsuitable for PVC. The surfaces must be dry and free from dust, oil, release agents and other contaminants. If necessary, we recommend cleaning the surface with material-compatible solvents and / or lightly roughening it with sandpaper (in extreme cases).

Cleaning:

4298 can be cleaned with MEK or acetone.

Scope of delivery:

Use:

The adhesion promoter / primer must be shaken well before use and applied evenly to the surfaces. The surface must be fully wetted, good results are achieved up to an application thickness of 50 µm. The evaporation time depends on temperature, humidity, and air circulation as well as the porosity of the surfaces. When the solvent has completely evaporated, you can start bonding (usually 30 to 90 seconds). The bonding should be done within one hour after using the primer. The recommended processing temperature for bonding agent / primer and material is between 15°C and 25°C.
