3M abrasive sponge flexible soft pads

3M Soft Pads flexible sanding sponges enable a high-quality and fine sanding pattern in areas that are difficult to access.

The 3M grinding pads were specially developed for re-sanding and sanding contours, curves or other areas that are very difficult to reach with a machine. Both the polyurethane foam material and the flexible plastic carrier ensure a high degree of adaptability to the surface to be sanded, so that the high-performance aluminum oxide grain creates a very fine and even finish.

The material has been chosen so that it does not bend and thus does not form any sharp edges. Our sanding sponges are available in 5 different degrees of fineness: Medium, Fine, Super Fine, Ultrafine and Microfine.

The sanding sponges in medium (grain 60) are comparable to grain P180 to P220, which are particularly suitable for sanding factory primers and old paints before applying the filler and for re-sanding filler contours.

The Soft Pads in Fine (100 grain) and Super Fine (200 grain) are equivalent to the grain P320 or P400 to P500 and are used for regrinding the contours during dry final sanding.

With the sponges in Ultrafine (grain 1000) and Microfine (grain 1500) you can repair imperfections on water-based paints, whereby Microfine is particularly suitable for light metallic tones such as silver. They correspond to the grain sizes P800 to P1200 and P1500 to P2200.
