The 3M 1181 adhesive tape is a conductive shielding tape from Scotch and consists of a smooth copper foil with a conductive acrylic adhesive. The EMI tape is suitable for shielding against electromagnetic fields and for discharging static charges. There is also the option of punching or soldering the shielding tape.
The acrylic adhesive is resistant to solvents. The self-adhesive copper tape is also available as a punched part. The shielding tape is flame retardant according to UL 510.
The versatile shielding tape can be used, for example, to dissipate static charges or to shield electromagnetic fields that can occur on devices or components. The adhesive strength in relation to the peel force from the plate is 3.8 N per 10 Millimeters.

The shielding tape is not double-sided and not insulating. It is both UV-resistant and self-extinguishing and can withstand temperatures of up to 155 ° C. It is neither self-amalgamating nor amalgamating or vulcanizing and not suitable for high voltage but complies with the European EMU directive.
